How Senko Studio collects, uses and protects your information.

Last updated 5 September 2026

Who we are

Senko Studio is a web design studio run by Maxim Secenko, based in Prague, Czech Republic, at K Červenému vrchu 870/2c. For anything relating to this policy, contact maxim@senko.studio.

Senko Studio is the name Maxim Secenko works under as an independent freelancer rather than an incorporated company, so Maxim Secenko is the data controller for everything described here — the person who decides what is collected and why.

Being a freelance operation rather than a company does not change your rights. Data protection law applies to an individual working this way in the same manner, and the contact above is the route to exercising them.

No data protection officer is appointed. For an operation of this size, and the kind of data described below, one is not required.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form on the booking page, or into the assistant, or send by email. There is no account to create, and nothing is collected from you simply for reading these pages beyond what is described under automatic collection below.

The enquiry form asks for:

  • Email address — required, so we can reply.
  • The service you are interested in, the type of project, what the site is mainly for, whether you already have a website and its address, and the turnaround you need.
  • Your name — optional.
  • Your company name — optional.
  • A message describing the project — optional.

The form does not ask for a budget range, a phone number, or a postal address, and it has no marketing or newsletter sign-up.

The assistant:

Receives the questions you type into it, and the currency you are viewing. It is not given your name, your email, or anything you have entered into the booking form. Please do not type anything sensitive into it — use email for that.

Information collected automatically

This site runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It sets no cookies, and loads no third-party scripts into your browser. What is stored on your device is listed in full in the cookie policy.

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages records ordinary request logs, which include your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser and operating system as your browser reports them. These are generated by the hosting provider for delivery, security and diagnostics.

Why we process it

Your information is used to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and answer questions about a possible project.
  • Prepare a scope and a price, and agree them with you.
  • Carry out work you commission, and stay in contact while it is under way.
  • Answer questions asked through the assistant.
  • Keep the site available and secure, and diagnose faults.
  • Meet legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.

It is not used for marketing, is not sold, and is not profiled or run through automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Who has access to it

Within the studio, only Maxim Secenko. We do not sell your data or share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We do use service providers who process data on our behalf. That is not the same as keeping it entirely in-house, and it would be inaccurate to claim otherwise:

Netlify

Website hosting and, where the enquiry form is connected, form delivery.

What reaches them: Server request logs, which include your IP address, and the contents of an enquiry you submit.

Where: United States, with EU infrastructure available.

Anthropic

Provides the model behind the assistant, when the assistant is connected to it.

What reaches them: The questions you type into the assistant. Nothing else from the page is sent.

Where: United States.

International transfers

The providers above are established in the United States, so your information may be processed outside the EEA and the UK.

Transfers of this kind need a recognised safeguard, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, the UK addendum, or an adequacy decision covering the provider.

How long we keep it

Project records

Everything held about a project you commission — the enquiry, the correspondence, the working files — is deleted once the finished website has been transferred to you and the project is complete. We do not keep it on afterwards.

Enquiries that do not become projects

Kept while we are still in conversation about the work, and deleted when it is clear the project is not going ahead. You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner, at any point, and we will.

Records the law requires

Invoices and payment records are the exception. Czech accounting and tax law sets minimum periods for keeping them, and those apply whatever the project’s status, so this narrow category outlives the handover. It contains billing information rather than project material.

Server request logs are held by the hosting provider on its own schedule rather than ours.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information: the site is served over HTTPS, the assistant’s API credentials are held server-side and are never exposed to the browser, and access to enquiries is limited to the studio. No website or service can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Your rights

Under the UK and EU GDPR you have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is processed, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

These rights are not absolute and some have conditions or exceptions — for example, we may need to keep certain records to meet an accounting obligation even after a deletion request.

To exercise any of them, email maxim@senko.studio. We will respond within one month, and will tell you if we need longer or need to verify who you are first.

Complaining

If you think your data has been handled unlawfully, please raise it with us first at maxim@senko.studio — but you can complain to a supervisory authority regardless.

In the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů). If you are in another EU country you may complain to your own national authority, and if you are in the United Kingdom, to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

This site offers web design services to businesses and to people commissioning work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact maxim@senko.studio and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes. Where a change materially affects how your information is handled, the updated date above will change with it. Questions about any version can go to maxim@senko.studio.

Questions about anything on this page

Write to maxim@senko.studio and we will answer directly.
