What we aim for
This site is built to be usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at a range of text sizes, and with animation turned down. Accessibility was part of building it rather than something added afterwards, and the checks below run against every page whenever it changes.
What has been done
- Semantic HTML throughout: one main landmark and one h1 per page, headings in order with no skipped levels, and lists marked up as lists.
- A skip link is the first thing reached by keyboard on every page.
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, and shows a visible focus ring. Dialogs — the assistant and the cookie settings — trap focus while open, close on Escape, and return focus to whatever opened them.
- Every form control has a visible label. Errors appear next to the field they belong to, are announced, and are linked to the control with aria-describedby.
- Images that carry meaning have alt text; decorative graphics, including the animated hero, are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text meets WCAG AA contrast against its background, and form borders meet the 3:1 minimum for interface components.
- prefers-reduced-motion is respected everywhere: the hero animation holds still, scroll effects stop, and no animation loops.
- Tap targets are at least 24px, and the primary controls are 44px or larger.
- The layout reflows without horizontal scrolling from 320px upward.
What we do not claim
No independent accessibility audit has been carried out on this site, so we do not claim a conformance level or certification. The checks described above are our own, automated and manual, and automated checks cannot catch everything.
Known areas worth flagging: the hero background is a decorative animation on a canvas and conveys no information, so nothing is lost if it is not rendered; and the assistant is a convenience, with the same information available as ordinary pages and by email.
